The ECHR in Strasbourg has awarded to Alexey and Oleg Navalny compensation in the amount of 70 thousand euros.
The European court of human rights (ECHR) ruled that the fraud case against Alexei and Oleg Navalny was considered in Russia a violation of the right to a fair trial.
Thus, the ECHR refused to consider the case of “Yves Rocher”, which was convicted Navalny brothers, political. The judgment indicated that it was impossible to determine the income from business operations with the firm as the criminal.
We will remind, the Zamoskvoretsky district court of Moscow sentenced in the case “Yves Rocher” Oleg Navalny to 3.5 years in prison, his brother Alex received the same suspended sentence. They both refused to admit guilt in the fraud.
According to the decision of the Russian court, the brothers Navalny forced Yves Rocher to sign with them obviously unprofitable contracts for transportation.
In 2016, the ECHR has acknowledged the unfair decision of the Russian court in another case against Alexei Navalny of embezzlement of property of Kirovles.
