Specialists of the Moscow planetarium report on the approach to Earth of comet C/2015 V2, also called comet Johnson.
Sunday, June 4, it will fly past our planet at a distance of 121,3 million kilometers and will be visible to residents of Northern latitudes in binoculars or a telescope.
Comet Johnson, opened in November 2015, moving on a hyperbolic orbit. The diameter of the core is 5.4 km. In the sky, it will appear in the form of green stars with blurred outlines.
As noted by the astronomers during the first half of June space the guest can be observed in the constellation Bootes, near the bright star Arcturus. To track the comet, the inhabitants of the middle latitudes of the Northern hemisphere will need special optics and cloudless weather. Search object should be in the southern part of the sky high above the horizon line.
