In Spain near the port of Almeria, the Spanish police detained the ship’s crew, whose members include 11 citizens of Ukraine.
This is stated on Saturday at the site of the Department of consular service of the MFA of Ukraine in Facebook.
“The arrest took place on the basis of the Vienna Convention on against illicit traffic in narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances and with the consent of the flag state of the vessel. The reason for detention suspected of carrying prohibited cargo”, – stated in the message.
The Department noted that the Consul is in constant contact with the leadership of law enforcement agencies in the production of which is the case.
“The results of the contact of the Consul with a lawyer established that the status of detainees is satisfactory, complaints about conditions of detention there,” – reported in Department.
