The deputies want to change the rules of receiving parcels from abroad

The project initiators are deputies of the Bloc of Petro Poroshenko. Bill No. 6755 went to the Parliament on July 17. Now he referred to the special Committee on customs policy. The document is expected in the autumn, at the next session of Parliament.

The bill MPs propose to introduce the possibility of delivery to citizens of the goods through international Express cargo and international mail without payment of customs payments in the amount of up to 150 euros a month, not during the day, and to impose restrictions on the importation of goods in hand Luggage and accompanied baggage without payment of customs payments in the amount of not more than 500 euros for the first time in a month, for the amount of 300 euros — for the second time in a month.

In the explanatory note to the bill stated that a significant part of the activities in the shadow economy is done with imported goods. Ukrainian legislation allows for duty-free (and without VAT) of imported goods on the territory of Ukraine allegedly for their own needs, and subsequently to sell such goods for commercial purposes via physical persons-entrepreneurs to the end users.
