The deputies demanded that the Kyiv city state administration to stop building in the Pechersk district

In particular, the deputies require to carry out all necessary organizational and legal measures for seizure of land plots provided for construction of houses in Michurina pereulok.

In a collective appeal to the Kyiv city state administration, the deputies reported that the construction of private houses in Michurina pereulok, near the Zoo in complex engineering-geological conditions of the caves of the hill are threatened by the flooding of the whole block and destruction of the capital’s iconic places.

The appeal was signed by Yaroslav Didenko, Vladimir Shariy, Vladislav Mikhailenko Igor Balenko, Tatyana Melikhov, Sergey Rimarenko, Ivan Burr, Vyacheslav Brodsky and others.

In particular, the deputies require to carry out all necessary organizational and legal measures for seizure of land plots provided for construction of houses in Michurina pereulok.

At the meeting of the standing Committee of Kyiv city Council on issues of urban planning, architecture and land-use deputies supported the corresponding draft decision, which was proposed by Deputy Yaroslav Didenko.

In accordance with the project should be withdrawn 18 plots of land in the green area of the city near the Zoo, near the National Botanic garden of Nikolai Grishko.

“Construction in difficult engineering-geological conditions of the caves of the hill, composed landslide subsidence soils of forest, threatened with flooding within the block, and destruction built on the foundations of small bookmarks neighboring homes on Michurin lane, which is confirmed by the authorised administration of anti-underground work in Kiev. Such destructive processes have already been observed from the opposite side of cave hill. Total destruction in this situation, the green slope is not only contrary to environmental requirements, but also is a deliberate crime against the inhabitants of the quarter”, – is told in the explanatory note to the draft decision.

In the draft decision States that the land allocation was carried out with violation of current legislation, environmental norms and principles for the protection of cultural and historical heritage.
