The defense Ministry will restore the Institute of armored forces

Минобороны восстановит Институт танковых войскUkraine has reduced the Institute of tank troops at Kharkov Polytechnic Institute.

At a joint meeting of the Ministry of defense and Ukroboronprom concern, it was decided to revive in Ukraine, the Institute of armored forces.

The University will be opened at the faculty of military training of National technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute”. In creating the training facilities of the training center tank will be armored industry specialists of “Ukroboronprom”.

This was reported by the press service of the concern.

The meeting was held on 5 may under the guidance of the Minister of defence of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak in the walls of the military training Faculty of National technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute”. The meeting was attended by representatives of the faculty, the military and Industrialists, and also representatives of the enterprises of “Ukroboronprom”, which produce modern armor and will be the basis of practice for future tankers, the report said.

It was noted that Kharkov is the centre of Russian tank development and it is here were created of the T-34 – Ukrainian tank victory in the second world war.

“Having examined the material and technical base and foundations of the faculty of Military training of National technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute”, after reviewing the organization of the educational process can state that in a relatively short period of time we have done a lot to improve the life of that exceeds. Therefore, I will initiate work on the preparation of the government decree concerning the establishment of the faculty of the military Institute, which will train the future officers of tank units”, – Poltorak wrote on the page in Facebook.
