In the Lukyanivka prison, said that prisoner when he behaved inappropriately.
Head, Lukyanovka jail Alexander Vasyuk said at a briefing that 20-year-old inmate who died in Kiev hospital, without regaining consciousness, had head injuries before the arrest.
“I arrived at the detention centre on 5 December 2016. On arrival he had recorded damage, namely, bruised wound frontal and parietal scalp. Also in the study it was identified that on December 3 he was brought by police to the hospital, where was the damage fixed,” – reports the words of Vasuki TSN citing its own correspondent.
Prison chief also said that the prisoner had behaved inappropriately. Because of this, it was placed in a special chamber of the medical unit with the inmates who also have mental disorders.
“December 29, he was taken to the Centre for forensic psychiatric examinations. In the examination reads: “during the examination was in agitation, – namely was beating against the bars, falling on the floor.” After he had discovered the black eye. On January 20, was taken to hospital in connection with sharp deterioration of health”, – I told Vasyuki.
He confirmed that an ambulance was called to the prisoner when I found him unconscious. During morning rounds he was still conscious and had no new injuries. He also complained about the beating or other grievances from other inmates.
Recall that on 26 January it was reported that in Kiev hospital died, 20-year-old inmate of the detention facility, which was taken with a head injury.
The paramedic of medical part of the jail explained the investigatory-operative group inmate was found in his bed unconscious and with signs of violence. A decision was made about his urgent hospitalization in the hospital, where he after some time died, without regaining consciousness.
Law enforcement officers found nothing at the scene and has not received any information, interviewing five people who were with the victim.
On this fact initiated criminal proceedings under part 2 of article 121 (Deliberate heavy injury, entailed death) the Criminal code of Ukraine.
