Ksenia Shoigu, the daughter of the Minister of defence of Russia Sergey Shoigu, will be the managing partner of the new venture Fund Sistema. His target volume will amount to 5 billion rubles. The Fund will invest in startups in the early stages, writes “Kommersant”.
Venture Fund Sistema SmartTech will be the fourth for the AFC “System”. The managing partner will be Ksenia Shoigu, the Board of Directors will be headed by managing partner of “the System” Artem Sirazutdinov. The anchor investor will be the AFC with an investment of 1.5 billion rubles. Who else will be among the partners, were not disclosed. Venture capital Fund is established for eight years, the investment period is five years. During its existence, Sistema SmartTech needs to support about 20 venture projects, investing in each from 50 million to 300 million rubles.
Itself Ksenia Shoigu said that the Fund should become a “conduit between start-UPS that offer the necessary decisions, but do not have experience in product packaging, and large companies.” Sirazutdinov noted that Sistema SmartTech will invest in projects are mainly of Russian origin. Preference will be given to start-UPS with the prospect of a sale to a strategic investor, for whom they may become part of the ecosystem.
The newspaper reminds that the 29-year-old Ksenia Shoigu in 2015 is organizing sports projects in the framework of the “League of heroes” — command-military-sports games.
