Crossover Renault Duster second generation will get upgraded chassis, new units.
The official premiere of the crossover Dacia Duster (sold in Russia under the brand Renault) the next generation will be held on 22 June 2017. This is with reference to its own source reports the online edition AutoAlgerie.
According to preliminary data, the second Duster will build on the modernized chassis of the current model. The crossover will get retuned dampers and springs and a new stabilizer bar.
Earlier it was reported that the new Dauster you will see a modification with a three-row cabin, which will receive the prefix Grand in the title. Grand Renault Duster will be about 200 mm longer than the standard car – its length is about 4700 mm and the trunk when removed the third row seats will accommodate up to 650 litres of cargo. Such crossover can compete with the Kia Sorento and Hyundai Santa Fe.
In General, the next Duster will keep the engine range of its predecessor. However, the crossover will be available with a new 1.2-liter gasoline turbo engine capacity of 125 HP, which can be combined with a six-speed “robot” with two clutches.
Plus, the 1.5-litre diesel will replace the 130-horsepower supercharged unit, outstanding 130 horsepower. According to another version, the current engine with “heavy fuel” can be modernized to comply with environmental standards “Euro-6”.
The General public will be able to see the new Duster “live” in September at the Frankfurt motor show. Sales of crossover should start in the first half of 2018.
