Ukrainians are advised not to use “CCleaner”.
The Department of police of National police of Ukraine warns about the infection of one of the updates of the popular program “CCleaner” created to assist users in the implementation of planned maintenance of their systems.
As reported on September 18, the Department of postal and telecommunications, the information provided by the division of the company “Cisco Talos”.
“The police is taking measures to prevent infection with the virus computers Ukrainian users,” – said in the message.
“Now experts at the cyber police temporarily not recommended to use a software “CCleaner” in Ukraine, and suggest looking for similar products,” the statement reads.
The Police also advised the Ukrainian users to ensure the proper functioning of antivirus software and to date database of virus signatures on their machines.
