Developer Pokemon GO: “Virtual reality can hurt society”

The developer of the popular mobile game Pokemon GO John Hanke at the event Mixed Reality Summit in London spoke about his vision of the future of virtual reality.

In his opinion, VR technology potential “too good” and in the future this may lead to problems in society. For example, people will want to spend more time in the virtual world, and less in the present.

There are many studies that show that people are much happier when doing sports, go for walks in the country, he said. — If we all had more time we spend in virtual reality, it may be a problem.
