The national Council on television and radio broadcasting at a meeting on 20 July 2017 adopted the decision on collecting of fines to two broadcasters, “Gromadske radio” and “Bukovina wave”.

Validation of the enterprise of public organization “Gromadsky Radio”, which was conducted by specialists of the National Council on 2 April this year, recorded that in the air of the broadcaster in the period from 15.00-22.00, the share of Ukrainian-language songs was 0%. The company must pay a penalty of 5% of the total amount of the license fee is 1751,36 UAH.
In OOO “Bukovina wave”, m. Chernivtsi, share songs in the state language in the period from 15.00 to 22.00 on the day of inspection 2 June 2017 was 24.7%. For this violation the broadcaster will pay a fine in the amount of UAH 4 420,50.
It is reported that both the broadcaster acknowledged its error and assured that in future such unfortunate cases, they in the air will not.
