The corruption scandal around Medvedev: new details

The state Duma refused to investigate the involvement of Medvedev to corruption.

The Russian state Duma at session on Wednesday rejected introduced by deputies of the Duma faction of the Communist party of the draft Protocol Directive to hold a parliamentary investigation on the materials of the Fund of struggle against corruption Alexei Navalny on the head of the Russian government.

The sponsors of the draft order were made by Nikolai Kolomeitsev, Denis Parfenov, Sergey Reshulsky and Yuri sinelshchikov.

“To authorize the Committee of the State Duma on safety and counteraction of corruption to request registered law enforcement and Federal agencies information and to arrange a test on the facts about the alleged illegal activity referred to charities and individuals in order to understand the reliability of examples, voiced by Alexei Navalny in the publication “you do not Dimon” and to consider the possibilities of bringing to responsibility of persons appearing in the material, or persons involved in the publication of materials in the case of recognition of them invalid”, – stated in the draft Protocol instructions.

The majority of the deputies of the lower house of the Russian Parliament voted against the adoption of this Protocol Commission.

We will remind, on March 2, the Fund of struggle against corruption (FBK) Alexei Navalny prepared the investigation “you do not Dimon. Palaces, yachts, vineyards, secret Empire of Dmitry Medvedev”. It is about real estate and expensive hobby of the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation in Russia and abroad. The FCO claims that the head of the government acquired their “bribe the oligarchs and the loans of state banks” with a “criminal scheme” based on non-profit funds. Before that Medvedev and his representatives have refused to comment on the investigation.

Later, the press Secretary of Prime Minister Natalya Timakova said that he considers pointless to comment on “propaganda attacks” characters imagine themselves as participants in the presidential campaign. In turn, the Kremlin did not become acquainted with the details of the investigation.

The lack of reaction was the reason for the protests, “He’s not Dimon” that took place on 26 March of almost one hundred cities of Russia. Most of them were not agreed, which led to mass arrests, including the police detained minors.

After the rally, Russian academic Fund urged Medvedev to help in the organization of events dedicated to the fight against corruption, for students of middle and high school.
