The omission Poroshenko in the sanctions list of the Kremlin explained his presidency, remaining silent about the absence in the list of his companies.
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and his company were not included in the list of sanctions imposed by Russia on Thursday, 1 November.
The sanctions hit and the President’s son Alexei Poroshenko. However, Poroshenko’s company Roshen, one of the factories which was in Lipetsk, under sanctions did not get. Also do not fall under the sanctions and other companies of the President, in particular channel 5, the international investment Bank and the insurance company Krajina.
Also not included in the list of sanctions and Prime Minister Vladimir Groisman.
The omission Poroshenko in the sanctions list, said the press Secretary prezmdenta of Russia Dmitry Peskov, peredaet TASS.
“Traditionally, presidents are not included in the sanctions lists,” he said.
Peskov added that countermeasures were introduced in the hope that Kyiv will have the political will to normalize relations. “Now while we do not see”, he said.
Just sanctions list consists of 322 individuals and 68 entities.
Russia took the decision to impose countersanctions in response to Kiev’s actions. In particular, in may this year, President Petro Poroshenko enacted the decision NSDC, which expanded sanctions against Russian legal and physical persons, and also extended the restrictive measures imposed in previous years.
Note, at this point in the sanctions list of Ukraine are 1748 individuals and 756 legal entities from Russia.
