The American version of the song “someone like Putin”.
American late show “Last Week Tonight with John Oliver” has done a cover of Russian song “Such as Putin”, dedicated to the President of the United States Donald Trump.
Presenter John Oliver said that trump himself becomes similar to the Russian President and is starting to copy his techniques in dealing with journalists.
According to Oliver, under Putin in Russia, public opinion leaders are exposed to greater threats. He mentioned not only the murder of Boris Nemtsov, Alexander Litvinenko and Anna Politkovskaya, but the recent poisoning public activist Vladimir Kara-Murza Jr., who “was poisoned, but survived only to be poisoned again”.
Oliver noted that support for Putin in Russia is large enough that in 2010 he even dedicated a song — “someone like Putin”. According to the comic, its essence is to ensure that Russian women want a man “in his 60s with thinning hair and a growth of 5.5 feet (165 centimeters)”.
At the end of the video about Putin, the authors show altered lyrics, by writing a special version of Donald trump:
“Such, as Putin may seem strong, but if you think so — know that you are not right.
Like Putin, no doubt very fortunate. Journalists die, and he ****** rich.
Someone like Putin only need power. He tampered with the video with your Golden rain.
This is not what we would like to see your orange face, all covered in urine.
But critics like Oliver it would be better to run away. He will track you down and shit on the car.
