The city Council will discuss the allocation of land on the Trukhaniv island

Some MPs opposed this decision and demands to remove the issue from the agenda.

The part of Council members required to remove from the agenda of the plenary meeting, which will take place on 9 February 2017, the question of the allocation of land on the Trukhaniv island.

We are talking about the draft decision “About granting to the State enterprise “General Directorate maintenance of foreign missions” of land for the operation and maintenance of the integral property complex, including care of water objects, coastal protection strips on the street Trukhanovskiy, 1-G, 1-D, 1-E in the Dnieper region”.

Deputy Volodymyr Bondarenko proposes to impose a kind of moratorium, while Kiev has no detailed plan of the territory and of the concept of development of Trukhaniv island, as the city authorities still have not figured out what belongs to whom on the Trukhaniv island.

The island was built up by private villas and cottages, and the perpetrators are still not brought to justice for squandering the lands of recreational purpose.
