The city Council will deal with the construction in the Shevchenko district

For the implementation of local initiatives on settlement building in the Shevchenko district of the capital, the Kyiv city Council intend to create an interagency working group.

At the meeting of the standing Committee of Kyiv city Council on issues of urban planning, architecture and land use, the deputies approved the draft decision “About implementation of measures for the implementation of local initiatives.” About it reported in a press-service of the city Council.

As the initiative for the settlement of issues related to a chaotic land development in the Shevchenko district of Kyiv, which is carried out without properly the approved planning documentation.

The initiative was registered on 19 December 2016. The document notes that in the Shevchenko district of the capital is dubious chaotic multi-storey buildings and the destruction of cultural heritage at the local level, causing public outrage and does not correspond to the modern urban setting.

“To take a professional approach to resolving the situation, the standing Committee on urban planning agreed to create a specialized interagency working group that will analyze the issue of construction of the capital”, – the document says.

The working group promised to take into account the hydrogeological situation in the area, transport, the environment, the deterioration of engineering networks, housing density, and the like.
