The Chinese are preparing a “cheap” competitor to Tesla Model X.
The Chinese company NextEV which developed a 1360-horsepower hypercar Nio EP9, plans to build an electric crossover, which would compete with Tesla Model X, but as soon as a vehicle of the same segment from Toyota.
It is reported NextEV co-founder Jack Cheng.
As writes the edition, the SUV will be powered by a battery pack with a capacity of 70 kilowatt-hours, which will allow the car to pass on a single charge more than 330 miles (528 km) on the European NEDC cycle.
According to Chang, the new product “will be able to do everything the same as the Tesla Model X, but only for much less money.”
