Chinese experts conducted the first test flight for environmentally friendly hydrogen fuel cells.
In China has passed the test flight for environmentally friendly hydrogen fuel cells.
It was developed on the basis of electroanalyt RX1E experts of the Dalian Bureau of chemical research of Chinese Academy of Sciences and Liaoning aviation research Institute.
The first flight during which the aircraft was able to climb to a height of 320 meters, was conducted in Shenyang.
As a result, China became the third country to have tested a “hydrogen” aircraft, after the United States and Germany.
The Chinese aircraft is equipped with a hydrogen fuel cell with a capacity of 20 kilowatts. Also on Board there are additional batteries that can be recharged during the flight.
The developers claim that for all time of testing there were no harmful emissions into the atmosphere. It is reported that all aircraft systems worked successfully at a temperature of minus 20 degrees Celsius.
Electroanalyt RX1E was approved for operation in March 2016. It is a single-double machine who can conduct the air up to 60 minutes and can reach speeds of up to 120 kilometers per hour. Total charging time of the aircraft requires about one and a half hours.
