The government has redistributed nearly 13 million hryvnias.
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has allocated 12.9 million hryvnias of the Central election Commission for local elections in 2017. This was reported on the government website.
According to the order №326 dated 17 may, the Cabinet of Ministers has redistributed 12.9 million hryvnias to the budget program “Subvention from the state budget to local budgets for holding elections of deputies of local councils and rural, settlement, mayors”.
The amount in the Cabinet has reduced the cost of the program “Holding of elections of people’s deputies of Ukraine”.
According to the report, which is attached to the decree, the government’s decision on the transfers of costs between budget programs of the CEC should, as foreseen in 2017 in the state budget under the program of the local elections is not enough, and additional funding will help ensure the proper level of the electoral process.
