The CEC has estimated the cost of presidential elections in 2019

Presidential elections will cost Ukraine 1, 9 billion hryvnia.

The Central electoral Commission estimates the cost of preparing and conducting the next presidential elections in 2019, 1 billion 948 million 300 thousand hryvnias.

This is stated in the reply of the Secretariat of the CEC on request.

“In accordance with the requirements of the Constitution of Ukraine and law of Ukraine “On elections of President of Ukraine” in 2019 will be the next elections of the President of Ukraine for preparation and conduct of which, by approximate calculations of the Central electoral Commission, expenditure is 1 948 300 thousand hryvnias”, – is spoken in the provided by the CEC to the Ministry of Finance the calculation performed to prepare the budget resolution in 2018-2020.

In particular, for the first round of the presidential elections, according to the calculations of the CEC, required 1 billion 330 million 300 thousand hryvnias, and the second – 618 million.

Under the law, the next presidential elections to be held on 31 March 2019.

On 27 October 2019 must also pass the next elections of the Verkhovna Rada.

At the same time, according to the response, the CEC did not calculate the necessary funds for the organization of preparation and holding of the next parliamentary elections in 2019.

The response States that the necessary amount of funds to be determined during preparation of the draft state budget for the year 2019.

The draft budget resolution provides 140,2 million CEC for the current year, 163 million in 2018, 198,9 million for 2020 and 2019 is 2 billion 147 million.
