The Cabinet to raise pensions 5.6 million Ukrainians

The government plans to modernize pensions 5.6 million Ukrainians and to increase the minimum pension to UAH 1373.

In the framework of the pension reform the Cabinet of Ministers from October 1 will increase pensions 5.6 million Ukrainians. This is stated in the project of reform, presented today, may 17, in the government.

According to him, 1.3 million people will receive the monthly increase in pensions by 200 UAH. For 1.2 million of the increase will be from 200 to 500 UAH. 2 million Ukrainians will receive an increase in the amount of 500-1000 UAH, and more than 1.1 million – in the sum more than 1 thousand UAH.

The government also intends from 1 October to review the minimum pension – it must grow up to 1373 UAH.

“Thus, growth this year will affect nearly 9 million of the 11.9 million pensioners”, – reported the government.
