The price of natural gas for Ukraine’s population should be increased to 8,032 thousand UAH per thousand cubic meters. The corresponding calculations made by the Ministry of energy and coal industry.
So, the calculations showed that under the current procedure, the price of gas is necessary to improve the 5,815 thousand UAH (without VAT) per thousand cubic meters is 17.6% higher than current prices.
Taking into account taxes, margins of suppliers and transport costs the final price for households and public utilities will be 8,032 thousand UAH at the current rate of 6,937 thousand UAH per thousand cubic meters.
However, due to the low solvency of the population in the government believe that the price is unacceptable.
The increase in gas prices requires the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 187 of 22 March, developed by the Ministry of economic development.
