The Cabinet explained why the increased price of gas

Кабмин объяснил, почему выросла цена на газFrom 1 November the price of gas will rise by 23.5%.

The increase in gas prices is a necessary step, so that Ukraine can continue to develop, reported the Department of information and communication of the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

The government noted that Ukraine has to enter foreign markets, piesaistot money to service the debt.

“This country needs cooperation with the International monetary Fund. Without the IMF loan the country was on the verge of bankruptcy. The country began a dollar would be chaos and rapid growth of goods and services. The government was forced to cut social programs and freeze wages and pensions. The threat back in the 90s was real,” – said in the message.

It also noted that negotiations with the IMF were difficult: lenders have launched a campaign to demand equal gas prices for the population to the level of the industry. “Under such conditions, the average Ukrainian payment system for heating is expected to grow by 60%. The government did not agree to it, privodim the main argument: the income of Ukrainians do not allow to pay the market price for gas”, – explained in the Cabinet.

“This is a necessary step that the country could develop further. But the state will protect those who need her help – low-income citizens will receive a subsidy for housing and communal services.
