The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted the draft pension reform and submitted it to the Council reforms. The decision was taken at today’s Cabinet meeting.
“I take full responsibility for the implementation of this project. We during these months, get ready to the first of October to carry out all of the charges,” said Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groisman.
He reminded that from 1 October 2017, about 9 million Ukrainian pensioners will receive increased pensions. Groisman also expressed the hope that the draft pension reform will be adopted by Parliament before the end of the session.
According to him, government gives pension reform annual automatic indexing. “The retirement age remains 60 for people who have work experience of 25 years. There are people who have no experience. This is a huge problem. Such people will have the opportunity of retirement in 63 years. If less than 15 years of experience, respectively, in 65 years,” said the Prime Minister.
Groisman also noted that more than 70% of citizens of retirement age will be 60 years.
