These strange, and sometimes shocking black-and-white images show the lives of children of Irish Gypsies.
Photographer Jamie Johnson was given unprecedented access to private Irish community at the fair, which was held in October last year.
It has everything from a little girl Smoking a cigarette to the young men, brandishing knives and weapons. No, do not rush to sound the alarm, the cigarette, toy, and knives and guns and plastic.
After Jamie spent some time with the Gypsies, she had the impression of them as “very proud people” who have a strong faith and commitment to family.
These pictures allow you to immerse yourself in the life of nomads. It is estimated that in Ireland approximately 25 000 nomads, who have their own unique culture and history.
“They are looking for equality in society and hope to save the next generation from the prejudices that were against them,” says Jamie.
