The bodies of the dead on may 2 in Odessa exhumed

The Prosecutor’s office of Odessa region satisfied the petition of the expert of the Kiev city clinical Bureau of forensic medical examinations at the exhumation of the bodies of six victims in the trade unions Building on 2 may 2014 in Odessa.

As have informed Agency “Interfax-Ukraine” the press service of the Prosecutor of the region, currently the date of the exhumation is not defined.

On Thursday, a meeting was held with the participation of representatives of local authorities, employees of the Odessa regional Bureau of forensic medical examination and relatives of the victims, which discussed organizational matters.

The exhumation of the bodies will be conducted for examination in the investigation of common criminal case on the riots on may 2, 2014.
As reported, on may 2, 2014 in Odessa the riots 48 people died and over 200 were injured. Most of the victims died in the House of trade unions. The investigation revealed that the riots in Odessa were organized and deliberately planned.

In fact the events of the various law enforcement agencies of Ukraine started about a dozen of criminal proceedings concerning different facts. Some of them are currently pending in the courts.

In April this year, police announced significant progress in the investigation, but has not released any details.
