The BMW i3 has been updated and has received the sports version

The electric hatchback after restyling, a modification of the i3s with a more powerful engine, and retuned chassis.

BMW introduced an updated i3 electric car, a public which will premiere in September at the Frankfurt motor show. Along with the restyling of the model has got the “sport” version of the i3s.

New BMW i3s have been modernized a synchronous electric motor whose capacity is increased to 184 HP and 270 Nm of torque. This is 14 forces and 20 Nm more than the recoil of the standard engine of the electric vehicle. BMW i3s are able to accelerate from standstill to 100 km/h in 6.9 seconds (0.3 seconds faster than the normal i3), and its maximum speed exceeds 160 km per hour.

The “sport” version of the BMW i3 was extended by 40 mm rear track, while the ground clearance was less than 10 millimeters. The suspension engineers have applied retuned springs, dampers and stabilizer bars.

In addition, the version of the BMW i3s received an upgraded stabilization system. Plus, the driver will be available driversi sports mode, which when activated will change the response of the accelerator and steering settings.

Both versions of the updated BMW i3 equipped with the same 94-amp with a set of lithium-ion batteries with a capacity of 33.2 kW-h Maximum cruising range remains at 300 km in the European cycle NEDC.
