The BlackBerry smartphone has lost Priv technical support

Unique BlackBerry smartphone Priv, who recently turned two years, today suddenly went from the segment relevant to the category obsolete. BlackBerry has officially ended its technical support, and in the end he will never see a modern version of Android.

The uniqueness of the BlackBerry smartphone Priv that this is not a trivial one and not pretentious cot, a stylish and strong vertical slider, which is still no analogue on the market. Its sales were very high, but it will no longer receive monthly security updates. Moreover, BlackBerry Priv can’t even count on the transition to Android 7 Nougat, hitherto working on Android 6 Marshmallow, and certainly it was never released Android 8 and subsequent versions of the mobile platform from Google.

Add that BlackBerry owners Priv’ll still be able to rely on a warranty repair – this component support anybody did not cancel, plus, if the firmware of the smartphone will found a very serious vulnerability, the patch for it will be released in the shortest possible time. It should be recalled that at present the brand BlackBerry is the property of the Chinese company TCL, so authentic BlackBerry will never be.
