The astronauts showed how from space is the Northern lights

This is a must see.

50-year-old American NASA astronaut Randolph (Randy) Breznik, who is the commander of the 53rd International space station crew took the picture of the Northern lights from a space ship. Breznik says that the photo shows one of the largest cities in the States of new York and its neighbor new Jersey.

Appropriate the astronaut was published on his personal page in social network Twitter. This publication gathered a mass of notes, which astonished users of the social network was admiring the wonderful natural phenomenon, and expressed admiration (and a small fraction of envy) about what Breznik saw such beauty with my own eyes.

Note that in July of this year Randolph Breznik, and a number of other astronauts and cosmonauts launched from the Baikonur cosmodrome (the world’s largest cosmodrome located in Kazakhstan) as a flight engineer of the crew of the spaceship “Soyuz MS-05” and the ISS program main space of the ISS-53/55. Northern lights, also called auroras, or southern lights, and Aurora is the glow of the upper atmosphere on those planets where there is the magnetosphere (the region of space around the planet, which is formed when a stream of charged particles is deflected from its original trajectory under the influence of the internal magnetic field of the body), as a result of their interaction with charged particles of the solar wind (stream of ionized particles that surround the space).

Note that besides Earth, the Northern lights also occurs on other planets, such as Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and many others.
