Selfies have become a huge part of most people, even hard to believe that this phenomenon appeared only a few years ago.
People take pictures of themselves absolutely everywhere: on the roofs of skyscrapers, to private baths, people buy many gadgets specifically for selfies, and there’s all this end.
One of the artists decided to rebel against selfie-obsession and created a series of photos called “stefdies”.
So what is “stefdies”? The author, Stephanie Lei rose (Stephanie Leigh Rose), says that this kind of “anti-selfie.” In that time, selfies are meant to capture a kind of “celebration of the soul,” to show how man is happy and joyful, “stefdies” (literally, “Steph dies”) represent the main character of “dead.” She visits various tourist attractions and just falls face down on the ground for a few seconds until the other person does the. “This series of photographs provoked discussion about mortality, about the function of photographs, the imagination.
