The presidential administration refused to provide a copy of the agreement within five working days, as required by law.
In particular, the AP refused to provide a copy of the cooperation agreement between Ukraine and the Ecumenical Patriarchate within five working days, as required by law.
In response to the publication of the President’s Administration, referring to part 4 of article 20 of the law of Ukraine On access to public information, carries a term of request consideration to 20 working days. Note that this is the maximum allowable period of consideration of such information request. However, in such cases, the law envisages obligatory justification of the need for such extension. In addition, according to the law, the extension of the period of review may, when the request “concerns the provision of a large volume of information or requires information search among a significant amount of data”.
AP in response to journalistic inquiry does not specify which of these provisions of the law it had adopted, responding to the journalists.
