The Antonov plane has delivered the world’s largest engine in Canada

During landing of the aircraft the temperature reached -29 degrees Celsius.

Ukrainian An-124 “Ruslan” delivered in the Northern canadian city of Iqaluit huge aircraft engine repair Boeing-777 “Swiss airlines”.

The need in the delivery of the cargo occurred after February 1, near the Swiss plane, which was flying on the route “Zurich-Los Angeles”, during the flight, refused one of the engines. The crew was forced to make a landing in the canadian Iqaluit located far beyond the Arctic circle.

Passengers on the same day delivered to the destination by another aircraft, and the faulty Boeing 777 remained in the airport to expect a new engine at a cost of about $24 million, which after several days was brought from Switzerland Ukrainian An-124.

The master already started the repair work, which, however, can take several weeks.
