TFR opened a case about attack on the 13 interior Ministry officers during a rally in Vladikavkaz

In management of Investigatory Committee of Russia across the North Ossetia has filed two criminal cases on the results of the unauthorized rally against the regime of self-isolation in Vladikavkaz. As reported on the website of the Department, the proceedings are initiated as regards 2 articles 213 of the criminal code of Russian Federation (“the Hooliganism associated with resistance to representative of authority, acting as on protection of a public order”) and part 1 of article 318 of the criminal code of Russian Federation (“Application of violence not dangerous for life or health, concerning representatives of the power in connection with the performance of their official duties”).

In the case said that on April 20 around 12 hours before the House of government of North Ossetia-Alania on Freedom square in the city of Vladikavkaz took place the inconsistent rally, which was attended by about two thousand people. Protesters have been publicly put forward demands for the resignation of the head and government of North Ossetia.

According to the TFR, “unidentified consequence of persons not wanting to be detained and brought to administrative responsibility for committed offence, and forcibly removed from the area, grossly violating the public order, used physical violence against thirteen employees of Regardie and the interior Ministry, causing them bodily injuries.”

Recall, April 20 residents of Vladikavkaz came to the government building and the Palace of justice and staged a people’s Assembly. They were outraged by the introduction of the regime of self-isolation, required to send the head of the Republic to resign, and with it all Republican government, and then call new elections. In addition, the protesters demanded the release of the singer Vadim Cheldiev against whom a criminal case was initiated on the fact of dissemination of false information about the coronavirus (article 207.1 of the criminal code).

On the eve of the 14 participants of the meeting received administrative arrest for the term from three up to 15 days. The courts examined the case under articles on insubordination to demands of police (part 1 of article 19.3 of the administrative code) and the organization of mass stay of citizens in public places, which caused violation of the order (article 20.2.2 Cao). It should be noted that at the meeting the head of North Ossetia Vyacheslav Bitarov insisted that all detainees will be released.
