Several residents of the Californian city of San Jose appealed to the district court with a class action to the American manufacturer of electric vehicles.
According to plaintiffs, they act “on behalf of all the owners of Tesla electric cars with autopilot feature”.
They argue that the company is experiencing on the owners of the crude product, which often is incorrect and does not correspond to the stated in the advertising campaign criteria. System cost 6 thousand dollars includes a set of cameras, radar and sensors that receive information about the traffic situation around the vehicle.
When you activate the autopilot system, the vehicle can move independently on public roads, slowing and picking up speed when needed and to rebuild and to avoid obstacles. Tesla representatives repeatedly noted that the software is in the process of refining and improving with each update, and warned that the system is claimed as an assistant to the driver, and therefore the latter should not relax, and should monitor the situation. Tesla cars with active self-driving car system repeatedly became participants of road accident.
One of the last cases – a car “did not notice” the bump on the track and crashed into a fence.
