Tesla plans to start production of solar panels

Elon Musk has decided to expand the production area of the company.

Tesla began manufacturing solar panels at its plant Gigafactory in Buffalo. Production area there is 1.2 million square feet. Before they were created at a small company in Fremont.

The company plans to increase the scale of production, and is proud of its successes in this area. It is planned that Tesla will annually produce solar panels at 2 gigawatts, while previous plans were to 1 gigawatt by 2019.

Tesla is working to make the plant more efficient. The Gigafactory is producing batteries for electric vehicles, and, according to Elon musk, producing them in record numbers.
