Tennis in Ukrainian: Tsurenko made it to the quarterfinals in Acapulco

Ukrainian tennis player Lesya Tsurenko won the second victory at the hard-court tournament in Acapulco (Mexico).

In the second round of the Mexican International WTA tournament Tsurenko had the chance to avenge the defeat of Ekaterina Bondarenko, who in the opening round in three parties lost to the 51st racket of the world of German Julia Gerges.

The only in-person meeting at a major tournament in Rome last year won Tsurenko. The match lasted over two hours. Today Lesya for the victory had 37 minutes.

In the first set Tsurenko with the score 1:1 won five games in a row and made a serious bid to reach the quarter-finals. The second set lasted only two games when the score was 0:2 Gorges refused to continue the fight.

In the first semifinal in the season Lesia, Tsurenko will face the winner of the match between third-seeded Elena Ostapenko and American Madison Brengle.
