The lock is not associated with freedom of speech
The Ministry of communications and information technology of Afghanistan said that has blocked the messengers to solve technical problems and “improve their work”.
In Afghanistan, authorities temporarily blocked the messaging apps Telegram and WhatsApp. On 3 November I reported a press-service of the Ministry of communications and information technologies of the country in Facebook.
It is reported that citizens have complained about problems in the messengers, so they are temporarily blocked for the solution of technical problems and “improve their work”.
Separately, the press service stressed that a lock is not associated with freedom of speech and expressed the commitment “to freedom of expression and civil rights of the people.”
