Taught Boston Dynamics humanoid robot Atlas to do the flip

Atlas previously demonstrated the ability to walk on two “feet” on the terrain.

The us company Boston Dynamics has taught its humanoid robot Atlas to climb a small hill and make them flip. Video demonstration of its capabilities was published on the YouTube channel of the company.

In minutes video the robot jump from one elevation to another, doing a back flip, and then raises the “hands,” noting the success. At the end of the video shows an unsuccessful attempt. Eight hours, the video has gained more than 700 thousand views.

Atlas previously demonstrated the ability to walk on two “feet” on the terrain, and use the “hand” for the transfer of cargo or overcome vertical obstacles. The robot development is conducted in 2013.
