At the exhibition of naval equipment and armaments IMDEX Asia Swedish company Saab has demonstrated a modified submarine A26 with vertical launchers — the first non-nuclear submarine carrying such weapons.
The Swedes added to the previous version of the submarine an additional compartment with a length of ten meters, in which there are six vertical launchers cylindrical type. According to the representative company that leads portal Defence News, the launchers can accommodate different missiles, but the main weapons for the A26 will be the American Tomahawk cruise missiles.

According to experts of the blog bmpd, a new version of the submarine A26 might be relevant for the Polish Navy, and not for the Swedish sailors.
