The strongest tennis player of Ukrainian Elina Svitolina, Monday, for the first time in his career, will enter the top 3 of the WTA rankings.
Svitolina will update personal and national record through the losses of his closest pursuers: the first racket of the world of Karolina Pliskova in the quarterfinals of the US Open lost to Coco Vandeweghe and flew out of the top 3, and Venus Williams in the semifinals of the American Helmet failed in Sloane Stephens and lost the chance to improve their credit rating position.
Monday the top 8 of the WTA rankings will look as follows:
The third line Svitolina in the WTA rankings – a new record for Ukraine. Before Elina shared a status of a record holder Andrei Medvedev, who in may 1994, took the fourth position in the ATP ranking.
In 2017 Svitolina won five tournaments (Dubai, Taipei, Istanbul, Rome and Toronto). Ukrainian is the second time in his career he visited in the quarterfinals of Roland Garros and at Wimbledon and the US Open for the first time made it to the second week.
Due to stable performances throughout the season Elina Svitolina is close to that for the first time to play in the Final tournament WTA.
