From April to June, the GDP of Ukraine grew by 2.4%.
Real gross domestic product (GDP) of Ukraine (taking into account the seasonal factor) in the second quarter grew by 2.4% compared with the corresponding period last year. According to the State statistics service (gosstat).
In comparison with the I quarter of 2017, GDP growth was 0.6%. As explained in the Ministry of economic development and trade, the key determinant of growth was the reform of the economy, improvement of business expectations and consumer activity while increasing the level of wages.
In addition, the positive impact provided the external market environment, namely rising commodity prices, particularly metal, iron ore and grain, as well as high level construction activity in industrial and public infrastructure facilities (in particular, on objects of power enterprises, transport infrastructure and non-residential construction in the APK).
The Ministry of economic development according to the results 2017года expected to continue the positive GDP dynamics at the level of about 1.8-2%.
