Started the procedure of conviction Gubarev

Developed special (part-time) investigation against Pavel Gubarev, who in 2014 was one of the leaders of the Donetsk separatists.

This was reported on the website of the General Prosecutor’s office.

“The Prosecutor General’s office agreed to the request of investigators of the security Service about the beginning of procedure of special pre-trial investigation (of conviction) of a citizen of Ukraine, the leader of the so-called “people’s militia of Donbass” and the so-called “people’s Governor of Donetsk region”, – stated in the message.

Gubarev is suspected under part 1 of article 109 (public calls for change and the overthrow of the constitutional order and the seizure of state power), part 2 of article 110 (deliberate actions to change the boundaries of the territory and the state border of Ukraine), part 1 of article 258-3 (creation and management of a terrorist organization) and part 1 of article 294 (organization of mass disorder) of the Criminal code.

Established that the species, while in Donetsk, during February – March 2014 entered into a criminal conspiracy with other persons involved in the riots carried out the seizure of buildings of authorities and local self-government.

These actions paralyzed the work of state institutions in this area, making it impossible to restore law and led to the creation of the terrorist group “DNR”.
