Stalkers of Lithuania detained in the Chernobyl zone

A day in the Chernobyl zone police detained six stalkers.

As reported in GU NP in the Kiev region, two groups of stalkers, including three foreigners illegally entered the exclusion zone of the Chernobyl NPP outside of checkpoints with the aim of adventure tourism and was detained by officers of the Ukrainian police.

One group of stalkers 34, 38 and 39 years old found in a wooded area near S. Klevin resettled, they are citizens of Lithuania. The second group was detained in the evacuated town of Pripyat are young people 20, 21 and 23 years who are citizens of Ukraine.

Concerning offenders administrative reports on article 46-1 “violation of the regime of radiation safety in areas subjected to radioactive contamination” of the Code of Ukraine on administrative offences. They face the penalty of a fine of 20 to 30 non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens (from UAH 340 to 510).

Also, the police appealed to the migration service with a request to reduce the period of stay of foreigners in Ukraine. Materials sent to the Ivanovo regional court, and the Slavutych city court of Kyiv region for decision-making.

We will remind, on may 2 the young residents of the capital at the age of 23-25 years old entered the territory of the exclusion zone with the goal of extreme tourism. The youngest of them within three days of being sought by the wife.
