SsangYong plans to develop electric SUV

The South Korean company SsangYong plans to develop and bring to market in 2019, the SsangYong Korando crossover with a new generation of rechargeable electric hybrid powertrain Plug-in hybrid (PHEV), according to Just Auto, citing its own sources. This novelty is the code name C300.

Back in the summer of 2016, there are rumors that SsangYong, owned by Indian group Mahindra & Mahindra is developing an all-electric crossover. However, details about this project then was reported. Now it became known that it will not be brand-new electric car will be built in the Korando a new generation.

Most of the automakers involved in the creation of electric vehicles and received. They are designing electric versions of existing models. This significantly reduces investments in development and production.

I.e. it will be a thoroughly modern crossover with a sporty body design and the latest technology, communications and security.
