Newly born children have die twice more than in Poland or Romania.
Ukraine is leading in Europe in terms of mortality of infants and mothers.
This is stated in a new report by UNICEF.
In the Children’s UN office has calculated statistics 2015. Then in Ukraine recorded 120 cases of maternal mortality. In other European countries was in the range of several dozen.
Also in the first month of life in Ukraine killed more than two thousand babies, while in Europe half the time.
For example, in 2015 2378 Ukrainian babies died in the first 28 days of life. In Poland they were 1122 in Romania – 1047 in the Germany is 1449.
Experts attribute this statistic with the fact that women do not always pay attention to their own health and ill-informed about dangerous symptoms during pregnancy.
