Sean Spicer became the object of criticism after his statement that Adolf Hitler did not use chemical weapons during the Second world war.
“During the Second world war was not used chemical weapons. Hitler didn’t even think about to use chemical weapons,” — said S. Spicer, criticizing support of the Syrian government by Russia.

Subsequently, in a written statement W. Spicer explained that in any case did not want to downplay “the horror of the Holocaust.” According to him, he was just trying to emphasize the unacceptability “of using airplanes to drop chemical weapons on settlements”.
But his words still caused a flurry of indignation.
The daughter of former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, Chelsea wrote on Twitter that sh Spicer should allocate time to visit the Holocaust Museum, which is located a few blocks from the White house.
