Indie horror off not only abroad. Real fans of their business is in Russia. I haven’t heard anything from Paul Dudin – a man who almost from scratch myself breaks on a world level with his genre movies, and now – great news!

26 April 2017 on the 50th anniversary festival of independent film at the Houston Worldfest Houston, the world premiere of the film “Six paintings and one heart Ruth Gardner” (The Heart and the Six Paintings of Ruth Gardner).

The film won the second largest prize of the festival – Special jury prize. As well as rave reviews of foreign colleagues filmmakers. For example, the founder and President of the festival hunter Todd does not skimp on praise:

I’ve seen a lot of Russian war movies and romantic dramas. And this film, a genre which I describe as fantasy-horror rarity for the festival movement in General, and the fact that he filmed in Russia even more amazing. Directing and concept of the film is absolutely brilliant.

He was echoed by Hollywood producer and Director John j. Thomas:

I can’t remember any other film that could so skillfully blend many scenic creativity in the horror genre! And the music in the film is just fantastic!

Worldfest Houston is one of the oldest independent film festivals in not only the United States but throughout the world. Its history began in 1968. The festival received its first awards many of the most famous Directors of world cinema: George Lucas, the Coen brothers, ang Lee, Ridley Scott and many others. This year the festival’s anniversary and there were a record number of bids: 38 tysiac (!!!_ movies from almost all countries of the world. But in the program of the festival included units.

The film “Six paintings and one heart Ruth Gardner” tells about the artist Ruth who enters into a contract with God himself. Contract Ruth agrees to draw a portrait of the Lord. In return, God agrees to make Ruth famous all over the world. But there are a couple of details. First, God takes Ruth her talent, and secondly the portrait to be drawn in his own blood, Ruth.

The Word Paul Dudin:

Great art requires great sacrifice. And today in the world of artists and creators, art as such has no interest in the first place money and connections. My film is about this artist who is willing to sacrifice everything for their work.

Although the film was shot in English, it starred Russian actress Irina Yusupova, Alexander Nava, Daria Ekamasova, Pauline Dashkovskaya, Alexander Logvinov. The voice of God voiced by Sean Michael Thomas.

Distribution of the film will deal with the American company PROVEN Entertainment, a contract which is already signed.
