Spain to guard the border will be drones

Spain plans to use drones to patrol the border in Ceuta and Melilla.

Secretary of the Spanish interior Ministry confirmed the interest in bringing aerial surveillance on the Spanish border with Morocco.

Spain has established a high fence with barbed wire on the border with Morocco in North Africa. But despite strict security measures, migrants regularly violate the border to get to Europe.

Earlier in the week about 300 migrants tore through the border between Spain and Morocco in the enclave of Ceuta.

The use of unmanned aerial vehicles with cameras can provide early warning about the collection of groups who intend to illegally cross the border.
