“Trudeau and Rajoy discussed the challenges posed by radicalisation and reaffirmed the commitment of Spain and Canada to cooperate more closely in the fight against violent extremism,” – said in the office of the Prime Minister of Canada.
Justin Trudeau also expressed his condolences in connection with the recent terrorist acts in Spain.
“The Prime Minister thanked for the care and assistance provided to affected Canadians and their families, and noted the effectiveness of the security services and the rescue of Spain,” noted Trudeau.
We recall that in the aftermath of the terrorist attacks on 17 and 18 August 2017 on the streets of a crowded Spanish cities of Barcelona and Tarragona killed at least 13 people and wounded more than 100 with 34 countries.
